Tineke Meirink is an illustrator who studied illustration at the School of Fine Art and Design in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. She discovered that she really enjoyed illustrating for children when she completed an assignment for the childrens’ television show Sesamestreet during her internship in her final year in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. She has illustrated over 120 childrens books, including picture books and educational books.

Over the years she increasingly prefers to work on self initiated projects besides her commissions. Examples of those projects are ‘Stop:watch’ and ‘Worn Wood’. Stop:watch gets lots of media attention (The Huffington Post, The Telegraph, Bored Panda, Designtaxi, Adformatie, Drawn!). It got her to Paris, where she was responsible for ideas and concept for a Samsung Mobile France online campaign and BIS Publishers published a Stop:watch Memorygame. In september 2015 a Stop:watch childrens’ book ‘Dans la rue’, was published by Maison d’édition jeunesse Le Diplodocus. A second book ‘Dans la ville’ was published in 2018.

In 2019 she was invited by L’ Institute pour la Photographie in Lille twice to teach a group of children for a couple of days.
